Blog 2: "Back On The Road"
Hello,
I am pleased to say I am now fully fit and happily competing. I recently returned from Greece where I competed in two $10,000’s which were my first ITF tournaments abroad since last year.
It felt great to be back on the road again and to put what I’ve been working hard on in practice into real match situations. (I wonder if they could get hold of a wind machine at Gosling?!)
My plan for this month is mainly training as I have French league matches at the weekends. Unfortunately this doesn’t enable me to play tournaments during the week which ideally I would like to be doing, however it does help fund my tennis.
I have been playing French league for the same club Senlis in Paris for the last five years now and have built up a great relationship with everyone on the team. I really enjoy the team atmosphere and always look forward to the matches. Our first match was this weekend and we were lucky enough to draw an away match in Corsica! Corsica was beautiful; I won both my singles and doubles and even managed to add a few more phrases to my French conversation!
