Tom Stephenson- (Northampton Saints Rugby) 

 

One of the most exciting prospects to emerge from the Saints Academy in recent years, Tom Stephenson has already had a considerable impact both at Franklin's Gardens and representatively.

 

Playing a year above age for England Under- 18s, Stephenson not only captained the side, but played a vital role in ensuring they returned home from the FIRA/AER tournament in Madrid as champions.

 

A former Moulton College student, Tom has a blend of pace and power that has proved almost impossible to stop at junior level, while many well established seniors have fallen foul of his step at Aviva 'A' League level for the Wanderers.

 

Even more established centres have found him a handful at senior level and his 13 senior appearances during the 2013/4 season, included not only stunning tries against Newcastle and Gloucester, but also the Aviva Premiership Final.

 

More success was to follow, Stephenson jetting straight off to New Zealand and picking up a Junior World Championship winners’ medal for the second year on the bounce with England Under-20.
